My experience with the Rider’s Edge Training at Vandervest Harley was great. Just what I needed to get on the road. My instructor was Ray Bovee. If he could teach me to ride a motorcycle, he can teach anyone!

The dealer provided a nice facility and rider’s track to learn how to ride. Really a nice set up. The class size was six students. That was great because the instructor could do a lot of one-on-one instruction. I gave the instructor a challenge, me and my slow learning habits. Plus I have a hard time following instructions, I have to see how something is done.

The first two days of the course was all class room instruction. It was very important. You learn a lot about riding safety and operation of the motorcycle. For dudes like me, it was very critical to my learning. I never operated a motorcycle, just rode on the back. The next two days were on the course riding. The instructor did not waste your time. You do a lot of riding. My hang up was learning to shift. When the final driving test was given, I passed. It was one of the happiest days of my life! I can now ride a Harley!! The instructor gave me the “Sure Shifter Certificate”!! Little humor there, Ray.

I now live my dream. My dream happened because of Rider’s Edge New Riding Course.

As a woman with absolutely no experience on a motorcycle, however an incredible drive to learn, I was extremely excited for the opportunity to participate in the class. Larry, the instructor was fantastic! All I can say is "Patience of a Saint!" We had a class of very little experience overall and he paced the class for our experience level. We all made it through the class unscathed, had a great time and were able to set the foundation for many years of great riding. I would recommend the Vandervest Riders Edge program to anyone and everyone. (I had heard such great things about your program prior to signing up, that I drove from the other side of Green Bay to come up to this one in Peshtigo).

Ray, I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic Riders' Edge instructor Steve is. Wow. The entire class agreed that he was awesome. We've never come across a man with so much patience and trust in our abilities. There aren't many people who will let you aim a moving vehicle at them when you don't know what you are doing.
I enjoyed every aspect of the course, and will recommend it to everyone. The size of the class allowed us to become better acquainted with our instructor and the other students. I think we all left feeling as if we had made 6 new friends. Actually, we all exchanged phone numbers and e-mail addresses and promised to keep in touch. One of the guys even suggested that we have a 'reunion ride' when we all get bikes. How cool is that? So, give Steve a bonus and please pass the word on to Rick and Erik about what a great job he does.
